Teach kids to stand up for themselves without hurting
anyone else. This seven-session program focuses on assertiveness but has
underlying themes of getting along with others, dealing with feelings, and
solving problems. As students progress through the program, they learn the
difference between aggressive, passive, and assertive behaviors; examine
their own behaviors in personal situations; and devise plans to change their
unwanted behaviors to acceptable ones. This important topic is one more way
to teach the skills for peaceful living in what appears to be an increasingly
aggressive world. |
