New Guidelines for submitting books and e-books for review! Please read carefully!

 

Wee Ones editors first began reviewing books in the hopes of encouraging children, teachers and parents to read a wide variety of available books. We have been promoting e-books, self published books as well as books written by well known authors and published by traditional publishing companies. As we grow, so does the demand for book reviews. Due to the number of books we receive, we will select just 2-3 books each month for our Books of the Month. This means that you send a book to us with the understanding that it may not be reviewed. We will choose only those that we feel reflect a high quality of children's literature and include professional illustrations. After all, we are putting our name to it! We only review picture books.

 

If your book has not been professionally edited, do not send it!

 

If you book is not professionally illustrated, do not send it!

 

If there are grammatical errors, spelling errors, do not send it!

 

If the illustrations are fuzzy or poorly done, we will not review it.

 

If the story lacks focus, a main character, has a weak conflict, is too old or too young for our readers (ages 4-10), we will not review it.

 

We will not respond to each book submission unless we accept a book for review and placement on the Books of the Month page. If you would like us to acknowledge receipt of the book via mail, please include a postcard. If by e-mail, please request that we respond acknowledging receipt.
